鲁迅的“尖酸刻薄”与“救救孩子”

“尖酸刻薄”,大约就是中国人普遍对鲁迅的诠解了。可就是这个“尖酸刻薄”的鲁迅,却是中国文人中第一个,也是至今唯一的一个喊出了“救救孩子”的(文)人。

中国文化讲了几千年的“仁义”,看来似乎是很讲究“善良”的了。“仁”字,是由“二人”组成,即“善良”必定是发生在两人之间*,即是要善待他人之意。可惜不幸的是,这“两人”之中是绝没有孩子的。儿童是被中国人彻底忽略了的“人”,在必要时,还可以埋掉,以为长辈节省口粮(“郭巨埋儿”)。由此鲁迅才奋起反击,高呼“吃人”和“救救孩子”。

任何一个社会,都由强势与弱势组成。孩子,妇女,都是天生的弱势,男人,成人,当权者,都是强势。大凡强者之所以强,是因为遇强不弱,遇弱不强。真的强者,敢于挑战强势,更能保护弱者。而在我们几千年的传统中,恰恰与这个规律背道而驰。我们中国传统文化是遇弱逞强,遇强示弱:在有权势的一方面前规规矩矩,而对无力反抗的妇女和孩子们,对残疾或其他天生的弱者,却显示了方方面面的威风。

中国儿童,也许就是这个传统的最大受害者了。从“孙子”成为“奴才”的代名词这个中国的民间习语就可以理解孩子在家庭中的人格地位。在孝道的保护下,家长们对儿童进行了几千年的世世代代地从行为到意志彻底剥夺,而对社会的强势(长辈,当权者等等),中国人却是极尽妥协,极尽中庸之道和“仁义”之事。

也正因为习惯了这个“欺软怕硬“的传统,好多中国人才完全读不懂鲁迅:一方面对鲁迅的真正的“强大”感到陌生,不习惯,甚至害怕和厌恶,而另一方面,又对鲁迅的仁爱 – 一种对生命的天然的热情,对儿童天然的保护心态 – 视而不见。
