yunyi, it takes a fellow artist like yourself to recognize and point out the golden light, like a halo, Van Gogh painted around these humble shoes. Now I have to quote one of my aphorisms: “There is no mundane object which is not at the same time a miracle.”

You aphorism conveys such a profound life philosophy. I love it!

Yunyi, this might sound kind of crazy, but when I see shoes on the side of the road or at the site of an accident, their contrast with the asphalt and sunny sky always stirs something deep within me to acknowledge the quiet strength and resilience of that which is left behind.
